Same-Day Crowns Cerec is simply the name of a computerised system that we use here at Channon Lawrence Dental. It manufactures crowns, veneers or natural-looking restorations to replace large fillings.
-
The end result is a non-metallic restoration
-
Looks and feels like natural teeth
-
Advantage - made in-house in as little as two hours and require only one visit for treatment.
We are proud to say that over 15 years ago we were the first practice in Queensland to acquire this revolutionary technology, which is regularly updated. Our patients have been enjoying the benefits of the Cerec system ever since.
VENEERS
Veneers (also known as laminates), are thin, tooth-coloured shells made from porcelain or composite resin that bond to the front of your natural teeth.
They are often used instead of a crown where there is sufficient healthy natural tooth structure available. Veneers are an excellent way to correct the aesthetics by covering chipped or discoloured teeth or even eliminating gaps.
In some cases, only one veneer might be needed to fix a broken or chipped tooth, but many people will come to us looking to get between four and 8 veneers to rejuvenate their smile.
At Channon Lawrence Dental, our experienced Gympie cosmetic dentists utilise porcelain and composite resin veneers. Every smile is different and therefore the type of veneers suited to you is dependent on your unique smile. Our experienced Gympie Dentists will present you with the best options and guide your decision.
PORCELAIN VENEERS
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made shells of porcelain that cover the front surfaces of your teeth.
The porcelain used for veneers is very strong and durable and has the additional advantage of being very colour stable and doesn’t stain, fade or lose its natural vitality. Porcelain veneers are a great option to give you a new stunning smile for many years to come.
COMPOSITE RESIN VENEERS
Resin Veneers start from $656
Composite resin veneers are performed within one visit and generally do not require anaesthetic.
Bonded veneers are less expensive than porcelain veneers however beautiful results can still be achieved. With proper care and maintenance, bonded veneers can give you the smile you have always wanted.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY FAQS
What are veneers?
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-coloured shells that bond to the front of your
natural teeth. At Channon Lawrence Dental, our Gympie cosmetic dentists
offer both porcelain and composite resin veneers to help create your perfect
smile.
How much do veneers cost?
Composite resin veneers start from $656 per tooth. Our premium porcelain
veneers start from $1,600 - $1,890. We'll provide a detailed quote during your
consultation at our Gympie dental practice.
Where do you get your veneers manufactured?
We use a local dental laboratory on the Sunshine Coast to make our veneers,
so you're sure you're getting the best quality workmanship and materials. We
make natural looking colours & shape to match exisiting teeth.
How many veneers will I need?
The number of veneers needed varies for each person. While some patients
only need one veneer to fix a broken tooth, many choose between 4-8
veneers for a complete smile makeover. Our Gympie dentists will help
determine the best option for your specific situation.
How long do veneers last?
While veneers are considered a permanent dental treatment, they will need to
be replaced eventually. Porcelain veneers last 10-15 years, while composite
veneers typically last 5-7 years.
Can veneers fix gaps in my teeth?
Yes! Veneers are excellent for correcting gaps, as well as chips, stains, and
minor misalignments. They're less invasive than many other cosmetic dental
treatments.
Can I eat normally with veneers?
Yes, you can eat most foods normally with veneers. However, avoid applying
excessive force—don't bite into very hard foods or use your teeth as tools (like
opening bottles).
Do veneers stain?
Porcelain veneers are highly stain-resistant and maintain their colour with
proper dental care. Composite resin veneers may stain over time but can be
polished or replaced as needed.
How do I care for my veneers?
Veneers require simple maintenance. Just brush and floss regularly like you
would with your natural teeth. Visit our Gympie dentists for regular dental
check-ups too.

Teeth Whitening FAQs
What teeth whitening treatments do you offer?
At Channon Lawrence Dental, we provide both professional in-chair teeth
whitening treatments (Zoom Teeth Whitening) and take-home DIY teeth
whitening kits (Opalescence Teeth Whitening Kit) with custom-fitted dental
trays. Both treatments are effective for whitening your teeth.

At Channon Lawrence Dental, our in-chair Zoom Teeth Whitening treatment
starts from $700. This professional teeth whitening service includes a
consultation and treatment performed by our experienced dental team in our
Gympie dental practice.
How much does professional teeth whitening cost?
Our teeth whitening prices vary based on your chosen treatment. As
mentioned earlier, in-chair Zoom Teeth Whitening starts from $700, while our
take-home Opalescence Teeth Whitening Kit starts from $350. We'll discuss
all pricing options during your consultation with our Gympie dentists.
How long does the whitening process take?
Our professional in-chair teeth whitening, Zoom, typically takes about 1-2
hours.
Is professional teeth whitening safe?
Yes, professional teeth whitening at our Gympie dental practice is both safe
and effective. We carefully monitor the process to ensure optimal results while
protecting your oral health.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Results vary from person to person and can last anywhere from a few months
to 2 years, depending on your dietary habits and oral care routine. Avoiding
staining foods and maintaining good oral hygiene helps extend results.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some patients experience temporary sensitivity during or after teeth
whitening.
Can I whiten my teeth if I have fillings or crowns?
Teeth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel. Existing dental work
won't change colour, but we can discuss cosmetic dental treatments for
achieving a uniform smile.
Am I eligible for teeth whitening?
Not everyone is suitable for teeth whitening. We don't recommend this
procedure for anyone who is pregnant or patients with untreated dental
issues, gum disease, sensitive teeth, or cavities. We encourage you to
schedule a consultation with our Gympie dentists to determine if teeth
whitening is an option for you.
Which brands of teeth whitening are the best?
At Channon Lawrence Dental, we use two trusted professional teeth whitening
brands: Zoom Teeth Whitening for in-chair treatments and Opalescence for
take-home whitening kits. Both brands are industry leaders known for their
safety, effectiveness, and reliable results. Channon Lawrence Dental uses only
the best!
